II. Automated Test Bench for performance and endurance testing on Blower motors:
Client 2: Based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India
Test Bench Overview:
The test bench was designed to provide a self-contained platform to conduct performance and endurance tests on automotive blower motors for verification and design validation purposes. This test bench employs an advanced AC dynamometer for conducting tests from no load to stall conditions. The dynamometer has following advantages over the conventional form of loading.
Drag torque compensation: This feature would facilitate testing of motors from no load to stall conditions.
Inertia compensation: Faster system response, is achieved by advanced digital control circuitry.
The PC based control system allows the motors to be tested and verified under various conditions of no-load, partial load, transient dynamic load and stalled conditions to evaluate the performance. The instantaneous values of all the performance related parameters viz. speed, torque, current and terminal voltage sensed during the tests are displayed on the PC, and recorded in the form of function trends with respect to time.
