Test Benches for Evaluation of High-speed and Low-speed Motors.
This test rig is designed to provide a self-contained platform to conduct performance and endurance tests needed for validating the design capabilities of:
- High-speed motors used for Blowers, Radiator fans, Condensers
- Low-speed; high torque, bi-directional window-regulator (geared) motors
Loading options include Dynaspede’s exclusive AC motoring dynamometer for high-speed motors and Magnetic particle loading device for low-speed motors.
The PC-based control system facilitates testing of motors under various conditions of loads to evaluate their performance. The instantaneous values of all performance-related parameters such as speed, torque, current and terminal voltage sensed during the tests are displayed on the PC, and the test results are presented in tabular and graphical forms.
Tests conducted:
No-load test: The Test motor is run under no-load conditions for a preset time to record speed, voltage and current. Here the motor is first dis-engaged from the loading device by means of `quick-disconnect coupling’ and then switched ON.
Dynamic test:
In order to plot the motor performance parameters of torque, speed, DC current and voltage, the motor is gradually loaded from no-load condition to stall condition with the recording and plotting of the parameters.
Load test:
This test is conducted to check the motor performance at predefined load condition; the load and duration of load can be preset on the PC.
Stall test:
The motor is stalled for a predefined period, and critical parameters are recorded at the end of the stall test. |
