PC BASED WIPER MOTOR TEST RIG

PC Based Wiper Motor Test RigWiper motors are low torque, low speed DC motors mainly used in automobiles for window wiper applications under dual speed operation.

The Dynaspede Test rig designed to conduct a series of performance and endurance tests on these motors mainly consists of a suitably rated magnetic particle loading device for adjustable loading along with E.M.Brake for locking, suitable sensors, special fixtures for clamping of different types of Wiper Motors, safety guards and interlocks.

The remote PC based control system allows the motors to be loaded to various test conditions with PC display of the instantaneous values of the performance parameters viz. speed, torque, current and voltage, along with recording in the form of tables, trends and graphs.

The tests that are conducted on this test rig include:

No load test:
Test motor is run under no-load conditions for a preset time to record speed, voltage and current.

Load test:
Test motor is run under pre-settable torque/time settings. Under both low and high speeds to indicate and record performance parameters, when operated under various supply voltage conditions.

Transient Dynamic Load Test:
The motor is gradually loaded up from non-load to its full load limit in a controlled ramp and to lock condition with recording of the performance parameters.

PC Based Wiper Motor Test RigStall Test:
The motor is stalled for a predefined period with the recording of critical parameters at the end of the stall test.

Differential speed test:
The motor is switched ON with a specific supply voltage in low & hing speed modes and the differential speed is indicated.

Minimum Start Voltage:
An adjustable DC supply voltage is regulated remotely to note and record the minimum voltage at which the motor starts on no load condition.

Auto Position Slip:
An adjustable DC supply voltage is regulated remotely to evaluate the motor voltage at which the wiper arm tends to over travel.
