Test rig for conducting static torsional strength test on propeller shafts

The test bench is designed for application of controlled torque, to Propeller Shafts to be tested, for a specified duration, for the purpose of verification of its torque withstand capability.

The Test Bench essentially consists of an electronically adjustable and controlled torque source and a mechanical torque multiplier on one end while the opposite end is rigidly clamped to a torque sensing bracket. at the far end of the Propeller shaft. The bracket containing the torque sensing load cell moves on a rigid slide to accommodate shafts of different lengths.
